Cutting 2” thickness mild steel

Im trying to cut 2” thickness mild Steel using 300 amp and 21% speed but the cut comed out this way i show in the attached picture. Any ideas of how i can make the cut better.

Not very familiar with your setup but you say 21% speed. Are you cutting at 21% of the recommended speed?

Gotcha, I am used to speed being in inches per minute rather than a percentage.

In the image below showing the cut edge, is the torch cutting from left to right or right to left for this cut?

What gas are you running and at what ratio?

i wonder what hypertherm would say, an xpr should be able to make some pretty clean cuts on 2" material. Maybe a bad pierce wrecking the nozzle?

Well I am stumped. The bevel indicates possibly a cutting height too low, and the cut edge indicates possibly your traveling a bit fast. As cutnweld mentioned it could be as simple as a damaged nozzle.Worth looking at those possibilities.

Or not enough air pressure, or a bunch of things.

I am guessing that the air pressure is too low, and the compressor cannot keep up with the cut.
