My homemade plate roller

This is what i came up with for a roller.
I used new drill stem and cut spacers for the 1" shaft for extra support, pounded them in, then welded ends up. They came out really straight.
The ends i used 3/8" plate.
The rest is self explanatory i think.
I rolled the 5/8" rebar for the 36" wheel with no problem.
It dimpled my rollers up a bit though.
I need to add springs under the top roller bracket. Something that can slip over the 5/8" adjustment bolts.
I just haven't found the right spring yet.

If anyone wants to build this thing here's the file.
I had a material list in the file but it seems to have disappeared now so i'll add it here.
The only special thing is to get the keyways cut in the shaft, unless you have a way to do that yourself.
I bent the 3/8" thick top bracket in my 20t press, but I had to heat it up to do it

2 7/8" drill stem (however long you want)
1" shaft (I left 4" sticking out all roller ends except on 2 rollers I left 8" on one end)
2" square tubing for the base
12- 1/2" bolts
8- 3/8" bolts (for the center joining bracket)
2- P205 1" pillow block and bearing
4- 2 bolt flange mount bearing
4- 6 1/2" long 5/8" fine thread rod
4- 1" shaft 1 1/2"long drilled in center to 5/8" hole
3- 1" hub for weld on sprocket (one is for turning wheel)
2- 12 tooth #50 chain weld on sprockets
2 ft #50 chain (also connector link)

Nice job and thanks for the file, I will have to make one for myself.
I made years ago, that also doubled as a bead roller and I did some ally tin work for a mates race car.

I tried a full 35" of 12 gauge, and it rolled not bad, but my down pressure adjusting bolts started to flex inward a bit. I was trying to roll it into about an 8" dia. Just as a test.

I haven't tried to test it's max abilities other than that.

It'll roll narrow 1/4" without a sweat.

The rollers seem lots strong, the weakness would be in the threaded rod
