adjusting cut height on the fly with AVHC

Post by soonerzuk »

I've read in several places that the reasoning for top dross is that the cut height is too high during the cut. I know you can change the cut voltage on the fly but how do you know the height is correct without physically measuring it? Is there a way to measure the height with the cut disabled? I'm trying to cut 14ga cold rolled and its getting more dross on it than I would like. Especially on the top. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I have the RED control box, but I suspect they are pretty much the same. The knob on front where you set your voltage....turn it CCW to lower the height or CW to raise it. That may be reversed since I'm not in front of my equipment.
