Re: Art Discs
I'm pretty sure the files on the Plasmacam art discs are in pcm format, so 3.11 or Design Edge would be needed to open these files. Let me know if you obtain any of these and I will be happy to convert to dxf for you.

Thanks David. I was afraid that was the case. There is a hummingbird drinking from a flower that I was looking to get for an insert for my deck, I am not sure which disc it was on?

That’s the one I had in mind! I did find one on Etsy then that I think is the same except it has more easily removed details on the outside edge. David do you like-use your art cds much? I have looked at buying them various times... can buy a lot of other designs for 500 tho

Re: Art Discs
The art files on the PlasmaCam art disks are very well designed, and (usually) error free. They cut well, and they are popular designs that sell well. There are many libraries of DXF files that contain thousands of art files. These libraries are sold by many different sources.
I like the ability to draw my own art files. Advanced Design Upgrade for DesignEdge is not cheap, but it doe allow you to draw nearly anything. With a little practice using the various drawing tools, you can quickly become proficient in creating your own art.
I think PlasmaCam should lower the price for their entire art library, but I do not own PlasmaCam, and they do not consult with me when making business decisions.
I have purchased the art files from Iron Shadows, and two other sources. I have the files, but I have not used them. So the money is basically wasted, because they are not translating into bank deposits. That is my fault, not the fault of the art files.

Re: Art Discs
I don't have any of the Plasmacam art disc/cds. I just did a quick manual trace using Inkscape. I did see others similar on Etsy. If you want this one I will send you a pm.cutnweld wrote: ↑Mon Sep 04, 2023 7:55 pm That’s the one I had in mind!
