Re: Jeep Grill Firepit
Thanks for posting. Cant wait to cut out. What is the Grilling part cut from? Stainless? or just HR? I wouldn't think you would want to paint this part. What are people doing?

Re: Jeep Grill Firepit
Anyone remember the size sheet required to do the larger versions? And did you use 4ft, 8ft or 10 ft sheets? I'm going to order some sheets to try this out. I normally order 10ft sheets, sheared in half so I can move them around easier. On small pieces, the waste in minimal, but worried with the larger pieces, it might be worth dealing with the continuous larger sheet to reduce waste.

Re: Jeep Grill Firepit
This is a pair of Jeep pits nested into a 4x8 sheet (with some small parts thrown in for scrap reduction).
Eta: I just noticed there is still some open area in the middle, between the fire pit side panels. I ended up nesting some stuff in there as well, before I cut it.

hay stevo u can bend them on the cut line just clamp it to the bench an u can push it down till it get to the spot were u want it ..but if ur a light weight like me u might need to make a leverage bar to clamp to it..thatboystevo wrote:Im am going to cut one of these out finally!

Nice design. Very cool indeed.
Can I use the basic front view for my
upcoming advertising plans ?
I don’t wanna butt-heads with the original artist...?
There would be some changes !!! OK ?

Do you have a dxf of this? with or without the small parts.. My machine is setup on an x long axis and this would work perfect. I cant seem to, due to limited cad experience, get a dxf here where I can seperate and nest the parts.

Re: Jeep Grill Firepit
I have made many of these this past summer. The first one had a very loose grill on it so I drilled 2 more holes in the tabs sticking out, kitty corner & put 2 more snap pins in the top. No more loose grill.

Re: Jeep Grill Firepit
So this grill is basically a full 4x4 3/16" sheet. I'm a jeep owner and wheel evwry weekend. On top of extra driveshaft, jack, extra fuel, compressor, etc.. this is a bit on the heavy side for carrying offroad. Anyone have dxf for one in 1/8 " ?

Thank You for the share!! Awesome design. I'm just starting out in this business. Is there any chance anyone could tell me what they would charge for this pit.
Thank You
