Re: Post your custom end wrench files here
I made wrenches for removing the regulators off welding gas bottles. The only problem is the wrenches you buy are heat treated. Which makes them stronger. My wrenches would round the corners off the open ends and the "splines" or the box end type, would eventually round out. I had a good market for about 3 months till the wrenches wore out. I even made some out of 3/8. Didnt last. I looked into heat treat and then milling or broaching. I wasnt gonna make any money on em.
Hope you have better luck.

I would be making them for personal use not for sale.

I've had not-so-great results from open end wrenches cut from 3/8" A36. (steel flexes and the wrench "opens" under use) If you use harder steel, it may work OK. The wrenches themselves worked fine as far as fitment though.

Made one to remove the fan & fan clutch from my son's 1996 Ford F150. Worked great. What drawing program do you use? In DesignEdge it is simple to draw them to any size you need.

Re: Post your custom end wrench files here
I made one to tighten a hitch ball onto a weight distribution hitch. Very little side clearance.
I made two of these, I put in the four extra holes(in one) to plug weld two of them together(only had 8gauge on hand at the time). Ball size is 2-5/16 with a 1.25 shank and a 1-13/16 across flat nut. worked wonders!

I use T1 grade plate on wrenches but typically cut them with oxy torch on cnc 1"or thicker

Thank you! I just left my mechanics shop and he wants a couple of stainless steel license plates made using his logo with a wrench in it. These 2 wrenches put together are exactly what is on his logo.
