Well, why not? 2011 Camero

Post by AnotherDano »

A powder coating friend sent me a small supply of Shocker Yellow to play with. Looking around, I picked the 2011 Camero that I got here. When I posted the picture on the coaters board, they told me that the real Camero is really close to that color!

So, I took it to the Chevy dealer to see for myself, but they didn't have one in stock.

However, the piece is hanging on their wall with a stack of my business cards. Everybody is happy.

Well, I thought I got it here but can't find it with the search.
Anybody seen this before? I'd like to bring it to the designer's attention.

Gary,,, Is this one of yours?
I have folders for the source, like Jason and Gary but this one was just floating out there.
Self,,, make a note; Add more 'source' folders! These guys deserve credit!

We just finished up a rock crawler for Ian Johnson that has a 2010 Camaro front clip on it.
sparkle granny smith green is as close as we could get to the factory paint chip & that color looks very close.

Nice werk!!!

Not anodized.
The steel was sanded with a belt sander, 50 grit for a light catching texture/pattern.
The finish is a transparent powder coat. The color is called shocker yellow.

Very cool!

Thanks for the thanks. :)

What size is that cut at? I was worried about possible burn through around the Bowtie area.

It's about 16" long.

14 ga. cold rolled. There are some long cuts that I was worried about, strength-wise, but they didn't present the problems I envisioned.
It's a great file.

which pc company produced the shocker yellow. very cool
There is plenty of room at the top - and the top is where you want to be. Whenever you do a project - do the hardest part first and the rest will be easy.
