10 inch portable camp grill

Post by lklassen331 »

Here is a camp grill i drew up and cut out of I believe it's 12 gauge stainless. The idea for a portable grill is from this great website, however i did design this one. just in case someone thinks i stole there thunder  The trout on the handle was also from a user on plasmaspider... so thanks a lot all of you! :)

Go right below the text box and you will see a tab named "attachments" click on it and then "add files" and then browse to find the picture you want and ADD it inline, OR you can also attach files by dragging and dropping them in the message box. :D

Could your file be to big? Or the wrong format, try JPG and see if it will work.

do you cook on that? from the pictures it looks like the grill top is pretty far from where the coals/wood would be. just curious!

Yes, actually we did cook some sausage on it the other night. The grate is about 9 inches above the bottom plate, and it's a small enough unit that the heat is fairly compact. actually cooks fairly fast! Only big enough for about 4 hamburger patties though.... :D I have the dxf if anyone gets interested

yes sir, not a problem. I'll post it for you... i did do a few modifications to the new one, as in an ash catching tray underneath, removable grate handle, and handles for the sides of the box...

what are the 4 holes on the top of the 2 sides? I see the 3 extra holes for the ash catcher, the rest looks pretty self explanatory.

The 4 holes on the sides are for the handles. Understandably the box gets really hot so i included removable handles so you can carry it without burning yourself... here's a couple pics of the finished product. It kind of shows how the handles are bent to work..
