I am in need of a Cut Chart for a PowerMax 85, I'm gonna be cutting some 3/4" AR 400 soon and I want a ball park of where to start on settings instead of following the SWAG theory (Scientific Wild A$$ Guess)
Thanks!!!

Cut Chart for a PowerMax 85
Few problems in life can't be solved with the generous application of a cutting torch and a taco truck.... or something like that.....

Re: Cut Chart for a PowerMax 85
I don't have an HT85, but there are cut charts in my HT45 manual. I would think there would also be cut charts in the HT85 manual.

Re: Cut Chart for a PowerMax 85
Your operators manual has 20 pages of cut charts with detailed info: Material type and thickness, torch to work distance, consumable part numbers, amperage, pierce delay time, pierce height, best cut speed, fastest cut speed, arc voltage.
I suggest using the 85 amp shielded cut chart for mild steel.....the AR400 will cut fine with these specs. here is the chart as copied from the manual.

The manuals and much more info can be downloaded from Hypertherm's website, too.
