Registered sheet cam and this happend

Post by andyn08 »

All of my cuts were coming out perfectly then I registered sheet cam and this happend. checked all of my mach3 settings for motors and they are all still good. Could registering have anything to do with it? I have included the dxf and tap files. I had to rename the tap file to dxf to upload

Did you reload your machine specific profile?

I know I had to get the specific profile for my machine.

If you are running Mach 3 not sure if that applies . . .

well it so happens that when i told myself i need to save all my settings once i had everything setup perfectly i didn't. I just built this table to go along with my plasmacam so the settings were all custom to work with my setup. thank you

I took a look at your dxf. I first opened it with CamBam, and it looked ok, although it had an extra invisible layer. I exported it to dxf's, both with and without the extra layer. It made no difference when I imported the dxfs into sheetcam. If I import it in as metric, the dxf has the center lines of the holes on it. (it's also very small) If I import it in as inches, the center lines are gone, and it's about 5.5 inches wide. I kinda wonder if it's those center lines that are screwing up your hole spacing. Have you cut out this same dxf before you registered your Sheetcam?

I looked at the dxf file in Aspire and all the vectors were open. I closed them and have attached the file. It seemed to import into Sheetcam and generate a good tool path either way. There was a layer though.
