Digital encoder

Post by GoingCustom »

Does anyone happen to know where I can find one of these? If need be I'll order one from PlasmaCAM, it's just their prices are usually double/triple from what I've seen on some of the other parts I've ordered. Thanks :)

**edit** sensor came in yesterday and I installed it this morning, but unfortunately the table doesn't seem to be compatible with the one from allied :( was worth a shot at half the cost of plasmacam's website. After being installed, the table initialized just fine. However, when I tested the x-axis, it went about 1/4 of the way across, but according to the software it thought it was at the end of the table... so more money to plasmacam :( lol

Found what I was looking for. 1/2 price of plasmacam. Hopefully this will help others

Thanks for the post- I had to get one from the factory last month. Was a little tricky to install, I was afraid I'd break it. That tiny Allen set screw is a pain.

I did get an aftermarket encoder for the control box, to replace the one with a broken shaft. Works great.
