Dunking Tank

Post by bodacious »

Hello all, I was asked by our local Fire Dept. if I would build them a dunking tank for fundraisers, but I am stumped on the triggering mechamism. Would any of you guys that are smarter than I am have any ideas that would help me out?
Thanks a bunch, I know there is a ton of talent on this forum, Mike.

A few years ago I was going to build a dunking tank and had done a good bit of research.

The entire Net, including YouTube is loaded with info. Info about the trigger, the tanks, etc . . .

I was cautioned on several fronts from the standpoint of liability . . .

Unless someone brings you detailed drawings and you serve ONLY as the fabricator, I would run from that job.

If they insist, suggest a "drenching" booth . . . having 3 to 5 gallons of water from above suddenly be released.

The reaction on the "drenched face" is priceless . . . it's safer & you will get far more people allowing themselves to be drenched than dunked . . .

I'm sure a fire dept. will have no problem refilling a bucket . . .

Read the entire safety section . . .
