correct order to create a good dxf file

Post by SpartanKen »

Ok, what is the correct order of functions to create a clean dxf file. I have tried to bring in a dxf that I got here into corel to make some changes to it and then export using the dxftool to open it in sheetcam. Before if I just used the file, it would be fine, but as soon as I make some changes to it, even areas that where fine before are now needing cleaning.

group, ungroup, combine, etc. what is the proper order to get the best results?

Hi Ken

Can you attach the file in question and describe the problem areas?

Hard to tell without looking at it Ken - but I generally combine everything, save it as a .cdr then use DXF tool to export it. That generally gives me a good file to import into Sheetcam. Don't have a clue if this is the "right" way to do it but it works for me.
