Mothers Day gift idea
I am still learning, and I would like some criticism. I did this for my friend's girlfriend for a Mother's Day gift.
I had to cut it with zero kerf width to eliminate the crossovers due to tight corners. I also shortened up the line in the heart to increase the distance between it and the edge. It did turn out OK, after that.
I want like to hear any suggestions on how to improve.
Hope someone else can use this...
Thanks!

i think it looks good as well but why modify that lettering? thereis no center to fall out i think it would look better with closed letters... just my $.02

Re: Mothers Day gift idea
Your design looks great. I hope you don't mind but I closed all the stencil lettering. As Gary had mentioned, there will be no fall outs with the closed lettering.

Re: Mothers Day gift idea
Thanks, all.
Gary and Primal, I guess the setting on my machine's software (Design Edge) automatically stenciled that font, and I usually look for that due to fall outs. To be honest, it did not occur to me! That looks much better...without the stenciling. I am actually going to cut a new one for her...thanks, guys!

Re: Mothers Day gift idea
Just some of my thoughts, I remember when I started trying to create projects with Plasmacam DE,( I dont have use of a plasma now) but I really got confused as what would fall out and what wouldn't, sure made some messes, big messes,
I still really get confused sometimes... but the more I work with creating the easier it get to see what will happen when its cut..
I made a 4x4 dry erase board to lay on the table with a marker holder for the real complicated cutouts that I just couldn't figure out,, saved me money and time in the long run as I could see the screw ups and correct them before the final cut on steel..
Just some info that might help someone.

Re: Mothers Day gift idea
Tap, I can relate. I don't have too much trouble with it, but what I have done is screenshot my design and import the jpg into paint (or something like it) and use the fill function. It makes it VERY clear if it works or not then.
