Why is the Mains Power Switch on the REAR of the unit instead of the front?
I understand that the Mains Power enters from the rear of the chassis, but there is what 2' of wire on there already?
Why can the switch not be on the front of the device?
I have noticed this on welders, Plasma Cutters and a few other nattering devices....

Re: I have a serious question Mains Power Switch
I have often wished it was on the front also. There is probably some regulation that says it has to be located close to where the power enters.

Re: I have a serious question Mains Power Switch
It is on the same end as the Power cord to meet both CSA and CE safety regulations. Without those specs it would be difficult to sell the product in many different parts of the world. I totally agree that having the switch on the rear is a pain in the posterior. But then I also don't like all of the regulation mandated safety features on my truck either....
