Product Liability

Post by Scott F. »

Hey Guy?s

I would like to know how much some of you are paying for liability insurance to cover the items that you make and sell. I have Finished Product Liability and its coming up of renewal very soon. I pay about 1,100.00 per year and only sell online.
I just wanted to see if that's about the going rate?

Thanks,
Scott

I just paid my renewal, $757.00 pa for $10,000,000 but I'm in Oz so probably not a real good comparison, everything here seems about twice the price as US.

We pay $920/yr for 1,000,000 liability with 3,000,000 aggregate. We also have $30,000 in tool coverage in case of theft, fire, etc. Ours is thru central insurance companies. Your coverage could be cheaper if you dont need certificates. We have to get certificates covering all the different venues we hit.

Thanks guys... My policy seems to be about in line when compared to others that I've talked with.

I also stumbled upon the ACT Insurance company late yesterday evening. I think I?m going to give them a try and say farewell to the 1100.00 premium. One of the good things is that the policy follows you where ever you go and it?s very affordable. The only thing is this policy does not cover you if you plan to install anything you build. I called and checked with the company to be sure.
