Can I use a cutmaster 50 which is about 10 years old with a plasmacsm DHC?

Yes, you can use the CM 50.
The HF start CM 50 is more likely to cause noise interference with the PlasmaCam controller, but it will work.

Separate torch cable and all other cables as much as you can. Keep the CM 50 on the other side of the table from your computer. Make sure you have a system ground with low resistance. The most vulnerable part of your PlasmaCam will be the height lifter and its cables, so keep them as far as possible from the torch leads. Generally HF interference will cause your computer screen to freeze and the program will stop. I have used similar systems with HF start plasma and the issue comes up occasionally, but not constantly.

I think im just gonna bite the bullet and buy a hypertherm, I sure don't want to take a chance of frying the controller
