Plasmacam DHC - Arc Voltage Scale

Busy setting up the Height Control on my DHC, meeting with reasonable success, but not quite there yet.
Could anyone shed some light for me on the Arc Voltage Scale.
How does one arrive at a denomination to enter as the scale ?
Any assistance would be appreciated.

I strongly suggest posing that question on the PlasmaCam owners group......they can answer that very well. Go to www.plasmacam.com , click on owners forum, use your machine serial number to register.

The DHC system requires that you zero the torch periodically, especially when you change consumables....this assures that it can accurately track at the correct height during steady state cutting. There height control samples the arc voltage at the beginning of each cut, and then locks onto that voltage in order to compensate for minor changes in material height/warpage, etc.

The newer PlasmaCam's with advanced height control (after the DHC) are nice because you can set the software up to auto calibrate the torch before each cut.....eliminating the need for setting the torch offset.
