I just made this for my gym
Here's one I just made for my gym from their logo. I made it from 18ga and after all the layers it got pretty heavy!

Re: I just made this for my gym
My steel supply house had these solid steel spheres and I held them with a vise grip and cut them in half with a cut off wheel. I had the holes precut with the plasma table and welded the from behind. I then hit them with a grinder so they aren't perfectly round and have the appearance of being hammered.
I would love to hear if anyone has an easier way.. please?.. Short of actually being able to place a real rivet that large, this is all I could figure but it's pretty labor intensive.
Thanks for checkin' it out!!

azfabshop,
next time use carriage bolt ,
drop em in acid ,
you could even ding em before you cut the shaft off.
