new to sheetcam

I have sheet cam an I have been tring to figure the machine settings and material thickness can anyone help me.

There were more than 1600 hits on youtube using sheetcam as the keyword. I suggest you start there, that or RTFM. :o

For machine settings:
Machine type tab

  • Jet cutting = plasma/laser/waterjet
  • Rotary = router/mill
Post processor tab

  • inch/metric Your choice
  • post processor depends on your machine
    example
    • CandCNC use their specific post processors
    • Plasmacam use the plasmacam post processor
    • etc...
Working envelope

give the travel of your x and y axis with the zero of your machine specified for origin (usually bottom left so all numbers will be positive numbers)

save/load
Here you can save your settings in case you change computers at a later date

They were just examples. Just measure travel in both axis and input those numbers as you table size.
