adobe photoshop should an ametuer photographer

Can Adobe Photoshop that was installed in an external hard disk be run from any other computer? For example, i install adobe Photoshop into my external hard disk instead of my internal hard disk. Reason being, i would like it portable and be able to run Photoshop at my client's laptop/computer instead of investing on a brand new laptop/Macbook. Anyone ever try this before?

I think where you will run into the most trouble with this, is that it will lag as it tries to send communication back and forth from the USB device. Some peoples computers may not have adequate RAM/ROM or graphics for supporting PS. However as far as the install goes, it should work.

Even though it's installed on the portable drive, drivers are set up for the actual computer being used and they will be tied to the operating system and will reside in the C drive. I'm fairly certain this won't work.
