Big Scene. Where to start?

Post by 762frmafr »

So, I have been commissioned to create 4 railing/panels. I would like to do 4 different scenes. Deer, Turkeys, fish, quail, all different forest/outdoor animals integrated in to them. So my question for the people that do these types of things every day is, where do you start? Do you start from a picture and then add and subtract from there? Do you start with one animal and build from there? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

I think your best to start with some pre drawn images of the animals you want incorporated into your scene. There are many good dxf file designers who are on this site all the time that can help you with that. From there I would start with a blank page and begin to place the individual drawing on the page where you want them placed in the final product and draw everything else around it and make the appropriate connections where needed to hold things together. Hope this helps and would love to see your end result.
