confused - plasmacam cutting slow

I just converted some .eps files from a vector art cd in corel draw, saved it as a bitmap and brought it in to plasmacam software. All looks good, but when I was cutting, it cut real slow. I was cutting out some of my older files and they cut fine, but these new ones did not. The computer showed all parameters were the same. Any ideas? This is the first time I have tried the Vector Art conversion. Plamsa cam DHC2, 4x4 table, hypertherm 1250.

If you zoom way in on the image, does it appear smooth? If not, it may be zig zagging as it is running,
Capture the image & check the node count, and use F10 (on DHC) to check path length. if it seems way too long, that could be the problem. I have had that happen when importing Bitmap files. Use Smooth function to fixit.
