powder coat instead of welding

Post by Zippo »

Anyone ever try bonding two pieces together with powder coat instead of spot / plug welding? i did a couple of small attachments but nothing of real size. IE on a 12" deer circle i overlapped an circle with cross hairs, had powder coated both prior, then powder coated each with clear coat, set in place and oven cured. they don;t seem to be coming apart, bonded quite nicely, was wondering if anyone else had tried it as well?

Never tried it. Seems like a neat Idea just wonder how long it would last.
