Vise Grips Rack

Post by Redlunn »

Yeah, my first post!

Here is a simple rack for holding various vise grips. I don't have any type of brake so I cut reliefs at the bend points. I plan to weld it underneath my welding table.

I will definitely be cutting this one, all my vice grips a scattered around my shop (clamped to tables, electric conduits, carts or whatever I was standing near) and I was just thinking about trying to do something with them....Thanks!

Thanks, this is one of the most practical files I've downloaded in a while. I couldn't really find a good spot under my table that wouldn't be in my way, so I had to improvise. I took 4 of the cut patterns and made sort of a Vise-Grip Chandelier. It freed up a drawer in my Snap-On box, and looks pretty cool hanging over the welding table. Great design.

Just cut two of them out for the shop here at school. The kids loved the idea and it keeps them all together and not just laying around.

thanks for the file.

I am currently working on making one for hammers!

I have been inspired!!

That is cool! I wish I would have joined this site two weeks ago, I just finished my welding table. :|

I may have to weld this to the 1"bar that I'm using now... Thanks!

Fantastic idea, nice work Redlunn.

The Chandelier is a great idea as well. I will have to keep this idea on the back burner for a while but I think I need one thats one flat piece that gets rolled and welded.

Like a giant lazy susan hanging from one chain. It sounds cool but it may not work out well if one side gets loaded up and unbalanced.

Thanks for the share.
