Need help! Newby to inkscape
I am trying to trace this design for a sign cutout. I am not sure what I'm doing wrong. I've seen some on here with a lot sharper lines than what I'm getting. I am posting two pictures, one is the picture my buddy sent me to work on and what I've done so far.

To add to this I know I will need to bridge the lettering for cutting. I'm just trying to figure out how to get this sharper or more straight lines.

I know that there is one of the other members who just loves to step in and edit stuff like this to show off his talents. Perhaps he will jump in and take it to the finish line for you.

In my experience that will be a tough one for an auto trace that won't require a LOT of cleanup before it can be cut. Often that cleanup process takes longer than just drawing it from scratch. I would draw it manually or use photopaint to simplify the image before you trace.

In this case the auto trace could be usable with some editing and lots of deleting of unwanted "noise". But manually tracing it could be fun as well.plasmanewbie wrote: Thu May 08, 2025 10:04 am In my experience that will be a tough one for an auto trace that won't require a LOT of cleanup before it can be cut. OP seems to be MIA. If he reads this I hope he gets back to us and responds with his progress.

Yeah, sorry I went M.I.A. family trouble and personal medical. I believe after talking with my buddy he is going to get with someone that has a laser setup to get all the details I guess. Thank you everyone for the help.
