Bridging Fonts for Plasma Cutting

Happy to try to help! This stuff is great fun, so I don't mind at all. Your success is payment enough for me. Let us know how you make out as you progress with this project. Is this an interior display piece or an actual large sized sign you will display outside your business?

Sorry, for delayed response. Unfortunately no time to sit in from of the pc. The sign is for a friend of mine. I think he is going to want two signs. One inside and one out. We were discussing making some type of an old school bracket for the exterior sign. Need to get time to work on the sign first.

Here is what I have so far. I'm having a problem using the stroke to path on the wheels. I receive a message indicated No Stroked paths in selection. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. It definitely does not look like yours . Making progress with you help.

Your file looks good!

There were some details that were too small to cut, and the center caps will fall out.
I changed the stroke width and differenced the white parts from the body.


Other than that, great job!

Thank you for all your help. I finally got the path and stroke figured out. I wasn't adding a color. The idea of using the circle to measure is a great help. I am using a fine consumable. I guess I need spend time editing so I don't have a blow out. I have decided to cut out of a single piece.

That's good news that you have it figured out. Unless you are cutting this at an extremely large size - say 6 feet wide - it will need some serious editing to make it a cut ready file. If you like, I will take a look at it later this evening and make some suggestions as some possible edits.

Great to hear you've added the Easyscriber to your arsenal. I worked on your file using the "test circle" method and was able to achieve a pretty good result using a 0.125" diameter circle to check gaps, with the overall size of the car set to 37" wide.

Rather than post my finished file - I will post these screen shots instead to give you a chance to learn some of these techniques on your own. Let us know if you run into any problems with your editing and we are here to help.
