X TOOL F1 Ultra with conveyor

Post by Fastyankee »

I'm looking at purchasing the X Tool F1 Ultra to add to my stable of tools. My main focus for this laser is metal etching.
I haven't found an another company that offers the working envelope of the Ultra F1 with conveyor.
Has anyone had experience with x Tool how reliable are they and do they hold up?
Thanks
AJ

I think Joe Jones and a few others here have tried the X Tool lasers. Will be keeping an eye on this topic, I am also interested in what laser folks suggest for metal etching. At this point I have been using my easyscriber to etch and am happy with it but a laser would be pretty slick. Is that the fiber/diode dual laser your looking at?

Andrew - the last time we talked I thought you said you had ordered an xTool D1 with fiber laser head and expansion kit. Did that sale fall thru, or are you looking to add an additional laser to your shop?

Andrew - this seems like a pretty neat tool, although very expensive. If you get one, let us know how you like it.

My guess is that Joe's Xtool is still in the box. Perhaps I am wrong and Joe will chime in here and show us some of the projects he has made with his.

My Ikier is out of the box and assembled - but I have yet to use it for any project, or even tried it out. I decided to make a stand to put it on, almost finished the stand, and them got sidetracked with other projects.

You have guessed correctly. I have spent the last several months acquiring things, with a view toward getting my shops up and running again soon. Health, and other obligations, and the logistics of traveling around the country to pick up auction wins, etc., has severely hampered my efforts to get things moving.

I have two X-TOOL F1 ULTRA lasers, both with the conveyor belts, and yes, they are still in the boxes, along with about 70 other things! Finding HELP is difficult. Even young people who are presented with the opportunity to LEARN, along with being offered full access to a shop that is packed with tools and machines isn’t enough these days. They all have their hands out looking for wads of cash.

I will return from Virginia soon with another truckload of auction stuff. Then I have a quick run up to Wisconsin to pick up a powder coat oven that I purchased. After that, I will return home. The weather will have warmed up. And I will begin to make these shops functional again. I have to have a concrete pad poured for a 25 x 40‘ building that I am adding to my FrankenBarn. Then I’m going to set up the metal building on that pad and that will give me some space to move things around

I have the coffins that I want to convert into motorcycle touring trailers. I have all of those lasers to set up. I have the 3-D printers to set up and also to sell online. I will probably end up dropping dead in the process of doing all of this but what the hell. I might as well give it a try.
