Re: grove crane
Very nicely done! What material are you using, and are you polishing it before you do your scribe work?
Thanks,
David

Re: grove crane
I am using 14 gauge aluminium which I buy in a dull state and then using sanding discs and Zephyr polishing products

Re: grove crane
Thanks for that information! I assume you are doing the sanding/polishing before the scribe work. Do you do any final polishing after scribing your design?

Re: grove crane
Yes mate I do. Just before the plasma cutter cuts the outside of the piece I spray the surface with a solution of anti stick which I use when I am welding to keep the bb's from sticking to the metal. It also helps when you have a molten blob of metal scoot across the surface of the polished piece, it wont allow it to mark the surface with the solution on it. Straight after its cut I hose the surface off and then dry it with compressed air from the tank. This can leave a bloom effect on the metal as it dries. I then use the Zephyr pro eliminator to wipe the surface over which gets rid of any water marks. I then use the Zephyr polish to bring the lustre back up and Bobs ya Uncle its done
