Post by kennye »

I hope I've haven't screwed up again I did some horse trading and wound up with a starfire cutting system I thought it would use G code but apparently not
Am I going to have to find a way to convert my files to a nc file That Im thinking it uses Or is there a post processor in sheetcam that would work ?
Thanks for any help.

In sheetCam when you select the Post Processor there is a selection of the file type to save.

We jsut did a reto fit on a China table with the Starfire controls . owner spent moths trying ot get it to cut . Support was non exiostant.
You can read though the entire blog fromn the arrival to the departure with pictures and narrative. The mechanics were pretty good .The controls....well I'll just say whoever traded you the systems is probably celebrating .

Kennye I cannot say for sure but most Post Processors are geared to the electronics, this is due to the signal paths or pin configuration of G commands. You may drop Les a note at SheetCam to see, he has so many on the list there may be one you can use right off. I did not see a Starfire one listed but it does not mean one will not work for you, Les would know if so.

I did get fastcam software I guess I could go through the process of learning that system
apparently it works or maybe they just sent it so it looks like they were doing something.Ill still check with les to see on sheetcam. I just wanted to keep something I was familiar with.Im not even sure what type of files I actually need to work.thanks kennye
