PM 45-125 Machine Torch

Post by d088 »

I can't seem to find the answer to this one... Do all of the Powermax units use the same torch and just different consumables based on the amperage being run?

For the Duramax torches, I believe the answer is YES.

No, not all Powermax units run the same torch, what are you trying to figure out?

But most of the more recent (pre-Powermax) machines can be upgraded to the Duramax torch. In this case, your are correct that this is the same torch configuration with different consumables available based on current requirements.

The 45XP's native torch is limited to 45A and its connector is designed so that it doesn't fit the larger machines, but the 45XP (and the previous 45) will take the torches meant for the 65/85/105. The 125 has its own special torches.
