GM CODE

Post by tjepting »

Just transitioned from a table that I used SheetCam to create G Code. If I want to use a previous drawing (svg mostly) on my torchmate table, how do I create the GM Code? Is it only done in the Lincoln Torchmate CAD software?
Thanks!

Torchmate has the ability to import dxf, svg, and several other file formats and convert them to gcode. So you can simply import your previous svg drawing files and create your cut paths using the Torchmate software package.

Thank you! I found the same chart shortly after I posted. Now if I can just get our IT to install the program, I can get going with these students. Any big tips or “better do’s” you’d recommend with this table?

It sounds like you have a great table. I'm using a Plasmacam - so my software is different, but the principles are still the same. Let us know if you have specific questions about your setup.
