Computer enclosure
I’m running down draft on my plasmacam which works great. But sometimes I still get dust. Looking to see what people are using for enclosures... pictures would be great. Thanks.

The attached image show how I configure my cabinets with all electronics inside. The air flow is filtered in and fan pulling through from the opposite side.

Re: Computer enclosure
In the picture is a Sandusky computer enclosure on casters. Best place to shop them lately has been Zoro.. Get on their mailing list and wait until they have a 25% off sale and then load up.
This one has a full door in the back for access to the desktop and the UPS and it's heavy enough to put shelves on both sides for the cutter and everything else you normally need with the plasma table so it's not just a computer cabinet. I had thoughts of putting the 330 150 lb argon bottle on the side opposite from the cutter but decided that would be a bit much for that cabinet

You marry into the PlasmaCam family and must accept the fact your software and hardware are proprietary. It's a for better or for worse engagement with overwhelming security. PlasmaCam controls the computer, table, hardware to their advantage IMO.

Re: Computer enclosure
Hi,
Here are some pictures of the computer station I made in the shop.
Monitor is mounted on an arm.
Server cabinet with fan and inside light with a drawer for storage. I also installed sliding keyboard shelf.
Plasma and filter installed at the bottom.
The station is on wheels.
I use wireless keyboard so I can take the keyboard to the torch and navigate it to the location I like.

Re: Computer enclosure
I am building table number 8 and did not want to take the time to build a controller cabinet as I did on the other table. This is what I came up with
Harbor Freight has a roll around tool cart, https://www.harborfreight.com/30-in-bul ... 64002.html
I mounted the Monitor on the inside of the top and made a flip out shelf for the keyboard and mouse. The keyboard and mouse are wireless and I will attach the keyboard to the shelf with velcro. The PC will go on the bottom shelf and the rest of the electronics will go in the draw. All cabling for the table will through plug and jack.

Re: Computer enclosure
Thx,
You choose some jobs - some jobs choose you!
The WAD (Wood Aided Design) for the torch height control module is off your specks ,The CAD (Cardboard Aided Design) for the controller is under the keyboard for ease of access. I have a few more things to build then it's tear down for paint time on the big pieces.

Re: Computer enclosure
I went in another direction and built office on side of plasma enclosure, keep table computer and design computer in the office, it's not totally free of dust, but a blow out with airline every 6 months does the trick, same dell pc for 5yrs now.
I have water table but you still get smoke and dust no matter what, especially doing a lot of pierces on thicker stuff, I found enclosing the table an adding a decent extractor is ideal, can cut galvanized tubes which is smokey as hell and still breathe clean air in the shop.
