Bobcad V21 help needed

Post by timberfab »

i use bobcad v21 and Autocad 2008 to do most of my drawing, then order the cuts manually and import them to Torchmate driver software.

Don't really use the bobnest module or the post processor from bobcad.

The only thing i can't figure out (and want to) is how to add a lead in while drawing! i have read the help topic and it never seems to work. Perhaps i am doing it wrong, but what if anything are folks doing to get lead-in easily on bobcad v21?

right-click on line that needs lead-in. left-click on "chain select"
go to tool-bar & select: Change
from drop-down list select: Break, then Divide
I usually set it for 20 divisions.
now your line has a ton more segments.
right click where you want the lead-in & select "cut"
draw in a line or arc & connect the blank space using the 'line' tool (join)
make sure your line segment arrows are all going the same way, including your lead-in.
now, hit Change, Reorganize & Clean-up & that will take away all the unnecessary line segments.

sounds harder than it really is.
