When I was looking to buy the full length gear racks I was told that you don't offer complete sections of gear racks just like the side rails are in 2 sections its to make it more feasible for shipping . I to had buy the rails that I will have to cut to make a 4x8 table.
Frankly, I would get the longer rails and NOT cut them. Let them extend over one end of the table beyond the legs to make a 4x10 table, and set up an attachment to do pipe cutting at the overhang!

Good Idea but I was told by Jokecam that they did not offer 10ft rails I was told the longest there is available 5ft. They said it was to keep shipping down.

They do not sell 10-foot rails, but you can butt two 5-foot rails together on each side.

Dude just order 2 rails and the longer wire harness and then the square stock to make the frame you might have 700-800 tied up into without the hassle of dealing with them on the phone.... They don't offer a full length rail due to shipping cost that's what I got told.

What are you gonna do for the cables going to the motors i don't think they will be long enough as it sits now unless the boom pivots somehow.

That is a nice job. I have to wonder why PlasmaCam doesn't just sell a "4x4 to 4x8 Conversion Kit" with ALL of the components needed to bolt on four more feet of table space!

Look closely. He made the boom swing on a vertical bolt.

PlasmaCam is REALLY missing the boat by NOT selling the parts to expand tables. They sell their "Customizable Size Upgrade" but then they leave it to us to make the components. DUMB! They must assume that everyone who buys a PlasmaCam table is a WELDER/FABRICATOR

They already have all of the frame parts, legs and brackets to bolt their tables together. All they need to do is offer expansion kits.

With the current components they have, they could offer everything needed to make tables in any combination of standard parts. Their rails come in lengths of:

2' - Go Torch
4' - DHC2
5- and 6' - Samson 510

Their end frame parts already come as

2' - Go Torch
4' - DHC2
5' - Samson 510

The gantry tubes are 2', 4' and 5'

Do you wonder why other companies are selling 4x8 tables? It is because PlasmaCam doesn't offer a 4x8 size!

After spending $998.00 on their Customizable Size Upgrade, we should be able to order any combination of standard parts for any table configuration we want to build!

Of course ... that would require PlasmaCam to be flexible and innovative, and well ... we're STILL using a parallel port.
