Re: JD2 MAD Series use SigmaNEST Software
Does SigmaNest actually control the machine or is it just the CAM side of the equation? In other words does the SigmaNest do the job that lets say Mach3 or linuxCNC would do or is there something else at work here?

Re: JD2 MAD Series use SigmaNEST Software
The SigmaNEST is just a CAD / Nesting software that takes a .DXF and converts it through the post to Gcode. There is our software / GUI that then uses the Gcode to operate the table.Black Forest wrote:Does SigmaNest actually control the machine or is it just the CAM side of the equation? The controls are a combination of us and Machine Kit. The GUI of the controls is ours.Black Forest wrote:So jd2 has written it's own machine controlling software or are did you write a user gui for something already in existence.?

Re: JD2 MAD Series use SigmaNEST Software
We purchased our table in early February 2017. Why was sigma nest not part of our package? Why the change?
We received sheet cam instead.

Re: JD2 MAD Series use SigmaNEST Software
Also curious why it did not come with SigmaNest software. The sheet cam only has 3 basic shapes so you cannot even generate circles without using a 3rd program as well as cutting off corners.
