new problem with Mach

Post by vittonej »

When I make a cut, in sheet cam it shows a cut path, but when it gets to Mach and starts a cut it starts out about 3 inches before the part, not sure why. It should be a problem with sheet cam but I don't see it in sheet cam, but once I run it starts the cut with a 3 inch lead in, never seen this before till the other day. I have try to change the operation like shortest cut or cut inside first doesn't make a difference, but I don't see it in mach

I am having trouble attaching, but this would be the first lead in and the start. I get a caution sign when attaching photos either from my phone or computer???

Did you make the lead in 3inches instead of 3/10s of an inch?

Up date of my troubles, I struggled for almost 3 days trying to figure this out, it got a lot worse before it finally got better, it went from lead in troubles to taking the part and splitting it up and the distance was off the lead ins were wrong, just one thing after the next. it would also take a 12 inch part and make it 6 inches. Finally I called Westcott Plasma, and talked to Brian, Their tech support is awesome, After talking to them we came to the consensus that I should do one of two thing,s dump MACH out of the computer, and start over, or even look at a new rebuild computer to load the program in, I dumped all the programs out and did a reinstall on the computer went back through all the step to load the software, took right off. no errors, I would have been beating my head for the next week. As an instructor of CNC plasma and Flow Water Jet, this was one of my more challenging problems, I run Plasma Cam, TorchMate, plus Flow water jet, at work and I own a Precision Plasma for home use, this one had me stumped. It just kept losing one feature after the next.
