Help with a square to round?

Post by crossfab »

I just got in the door at a pillsbury plant here in Oklahoma. I know how to lay it out but that does nothing, because I want to use my new Plasmacam. The software is expensive for the duct package and I'm just getting use to the new machine. If anyone has the software to send me the file I would love to pay for your time. I have all the dimensions. Thanks to all.

make the duct pieces to fit in the square and weld them there then attach a 12inch line to the circle and there you have it

Yeah that works too. Just want to use the tools the most accurate way I can. I have six of the same. And want them perfect. A.d.m is huge here and want to show off for the new client. May have to do them the old fashion way or spend some money.

Here you go Crossfab, got the dimensions mixed on the first one. This should be no issues. Check it over and any changes needed let me know. The DXF is made using the mean dimension of the 10 ga. plate. You will need 2 pcs to make one SQR 2 RND.

Plasmajoe you are awesome. I've had my table for two months now. And when I get more knowledgeable I will make it point to help others as you have. Thanks again.

No problem at all, that is what this site is all about. Again if you need help just ask, if I can and have the time to do it I will.

This is what sheetmetalguy.com came up with (if I got your numbers right). As a one-piece, it would be a pain to bend on a brake without cantilevering your dies....so a two-piece, like plasmajoe drew, would be easier.
