Need a little help!

Post by barrett42127 »

Hello everyone

I am completely new to cnc. I just bought an older Dynatorch system and would love a little assistance. First, my Dynatorch 3.6 software won’t even fit on my pc screen. It’s way too wide. How do I fix that? I have tried adjusting my display resolution but it doesn’t help.

Hi Terry. What Operating system are you using? Windows 10, 7, 8 etc.... Also what size monitor do you have, and is it one of those old square monitors with the 4:3 aspect ratio, or a newer rectangle (wide screen) monitor?

I’m using windows 10. I have a wide screen monitor but according to Dynatorch, it must be 1920x1080 and it’s not. I was just hoping for a work around.

Try changing your aspect ratio on the actual monitor. All the newer ones have menu buttons. Usually has a up/down button and select button to scroll thru the menu and make changes. Can be kinda frustrating to use until you get the hang of it. There's not a ton of settings in there so it shouldn't be to hard to find the aspect ratio settings (may also be called "image ratio" or something similar.) There are also Scale settings right above your resolution settings in windows 10 you can play with.
