Welcome to fhe forum Big Papa! What kind of table/cutter setup do you have, and what software are you attempting to learn to edit your vector files and auto trace bitmap images? Many use Inkscape for these sorts of tasks. Are you looking to cut as a positive or negative?

Well THAT was certainly fun!The trace was sloppy, so I just redrew the entire thing. Crisp and clean! No Caffeine!

You will have to decide whether everything will be connected (NOT done in this file) or whether you will attach individual letters to a wall, or a mirror, or ????

The thing about "Metal and Air" is deciding what needs to be connected to what.

I'm not sure if only having the B connected will be very sturdy. I would try sliding the top section down until the P connects and overlapping the B & the R onto the keyboard.

I agree. I thought about doing exactly that, or just extending the P to reach the keyboard.

I probably wasted my time though. So many "First Post" users appearing here lately.

I'm sure one of the regulars will probably find a use for it.

What is it about his first post above that indicates he is a contributing member?

I have found that VinylMaster Cut (the USCutter version) works very well for vectorizing pdf files such as the one supplied by the op. This is my "go-to" for pdf auto traces. At $59 I feel this software is a real bargain.

Here showing the steps to vectorize using VinlyMaster Cut. I prefer to export as svg for input to Inkscape, and then export as dxf if needed.

Robert Johnson put me on to VinylMaster Cut several years ago. Robert has several demo videos using it for some different applications.
