Your file looks fine to me. What program are you trying to open it with?

I use a program called Draftsight for editing files but when I select any of the arcs they appear as lines not arcs

I opened your file in Aspire just fine also. I think the problem is how Draftsite treats some particular files. Here is a link below with some discussion about this. If you do a search on this site for "Draftsite" you will most likely find more discussion relating to your problem.

I opened your file in Corel and at first it looked good but after zooming in I can see that its all line segments here also so I tried opening it in Fusion 360 and same thing. I think somewhere along the way these arcs were already interpreted as line segments and there is no going back now without a redraw.

If David (aka adbuch) chimes in again lets ask him to zoom in close on his end and confirm he is in fact seeing smooth arcs.

I saw the same thing in Inkscape (changed in QCAD from DXF to advanced SVG), I did do some removing of nodes with the "simplify" function under the path menu. But they still looked like short arcs with a node at each end. It still had many double nodes, not sure how clean it would cut.

When I zoom in I see straight line segments, and no arcs. I would go ahead a cut it - I think the lines give it some "character".

If this is going to be cut at the 10 foot wide size it was intended the straight line arcs will not look good in my opinion, very choppy. If you were to scale it down significantly you may get away with it.

I disagree, I think it will look fine at the full size with the straight lines. Most similar real leaves are not perfectly smooth.

You can double check the actual path contour by typing REGEN command in Draftsight, when you zoon in and out it will display an object to appear blocky as you stated but sometimes it is actually an arc. After your hit REGEN it still appears blocky, then you have a lot of work to do...!! Often this will happen in programs generated by a graphics software when opened in a CAD software...Seems to be a translation issue...

Also, there is a way to tackle this in your Poly Line Edit commands but it can be tricky.....

I wonder if you could separate a leaf or 2 and cut that in the scale you want to see how it looks before cutting tho whole thing. This was done in Inkscape, I resized the file to 120" wide and them separated out the left bottom section and copied it to another page in Inkscape and the size was 15.3" wide. Easier to show them explain.

Here is the upper left portion with lines converted to curves. I personally prefer the original - I think it has more character.

Great idea acourtjester :Like I know adbuch prefers the segmented look but I would rather smooth arcs myself.

Here is the original file sourced from CNC Zone. This file was apparently drawn this way with the lines (not arcs) so I doubt there is a simple method to smooth it to arcs without spending some time to redraw it (trace with arcs). Here is the link to the original.

I like the vine panel better myself, a little more modern loooking. Pretty cool, thanks for sharing your final design!
