Need help with this file. Getting a bit overwhelmed with what should be cut and not cut. Trying to make a graduation gift for a friend. Thanks for any help!

Hi KT!
Pulled this into cad, found a couple overlapping lines, performed a couple basic functions like reducing nodes etc. Otherwise looks great. The compass came in right at 13.5"x13.5" which is too small to plasma cut without burning through. Same thing with the font. Scaled up a bit it would make a great cut as is. Smooth arcs, very few nodes and ready for you to apply your tool path.

Thanks Ben. I appreciate the work. I have been slowly chipping away at it. Learning curve is a bit steep for me, however, time spent now should pay off in the end. Thanks again!

Nothing to it and you're most welcome. Just takes practice and it will pay off. Took me a while to get the hang of the cad portion, to me that was the toughest part to become proficient with. Whatever software challenges you face just post your question in the appropriate software forum and you'll soon get help.

Are you on a tablet, phone, or computer? From your computer just right click on the file and from the drop down menu select "Save link as"

I am on my desktop. I can click on the file above and it is fine but when I click on Ben's file I get a pop up saying

This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below. ... Every sitemap file created by Sitemap Automator is called an XML Sitemap file. XML is a way of marking up a file to give the text meaning.

Followed by a bunch of non sense.

You guys are welcome :-D Though I'm concerned why ian is having issues, not sure what's up with that, like to help.

However I highly disagree with the popup message stating "does not appear to have any style"...Clearly it doesn't know "art" when it sees it
