Won't fire up

Post by seajinx »

Ok, Connected all the X,Y,Z and A wires to my ArcLight 12000. Brought my file in to Mach 3 Hit run and Zilch, nothing, Nada. The gantry moved to the start point, touched the plate, came up and stopped there. Not even a hint of spark from the HT 85. I'm cutting 12 gauge steel, tip is 85 amp and the HT 85 is set to 85 amp output. I'm assuming you set the Amps on the Torch acording to the amperage your tip is set for or is my thinking wrong. And can someone tell me where the PMW network wire connects to?

Cancel the PMW connection. Found it went to the HT 85 sensor. Is the voltage to torch suppose to be a constant reading or is it erratic until it makes an arc? This is a big learning curve for me and in need of help. Thank you.

After a thorough brain racking and frustrating moments. I've located the culprit of why it wouldn't fire up. Apparently my wiring in the plug o he plasma cutter didn't have proper contact. System is up and running, but ran into a snag with the THC tip Volts outside fault range. found my answer in the PS search. Was a simple jack up the Air pressure and problem solved. Thanks PS for a great web site.
