Easy way to centre torch on bars/box

Post by SeanP »

I have lost count the amount of different ways I have tried to get the torch centered on box or flat bar, this just came to me today, very easy as the bearing was 40mm od and the flat bar was 40, even on other sizes I can see it working well.

I do find zeroing in the centre of the part and same in sheetcam is the easiest.

Hi Sean,

good one.

In my workshop I made myself a tiered rotating shelf rack. Each shelf level is choc-a-bloc with bits of round and square bar, hollow tube, old bearings, etc, etc (God knows how much that shelf set now weighs). I also collect lots of old bearings from work.

The amount of times these shelves/boxes of bits and bearings have came is useful makes me happy I've hoarded them all.
