Pierce height on multiple cuts

Post by LEDPlasma »

Hello fellow plasma tablers,

New to the forum and new to the plasma table world. I have a decent grasp and have been using my table for a few weeks now.
My question is, When i have more than one pierce on my part that I am cutting out, say with half a dozen holes or similar. My torch goes to its first pierce, travels down and finds the material and comes back up to pierce height and everything is all good. BUT, then when it is finished that cut and moves over to the next "hole" or "pierce" the torch does not go down to find material height and it just starts piercing at a random height (which is always to high) and usually ends up gouging the material until the arc finds its cut height and pierces through.

I have been trying to figure it out but now i am here asking some experienced people. In result i have been left with using a big "lead in" on sheet cam just so the part is cut completely.

thanks for your help.

Do you use sheetcam?
You need to edit the ref distance in the post processor file.
