Payment methods

Post by GoingCustom »

So aside from the customary and preferred payment of cash, I've had people pay with checks and a couple through paypal. For those who don't have a store front and set up for conventional credit/debit cards, have you ever tried the card readers for iphone/ipad? Here's the link => http://gopayment.com/?cid=tv_spring2012_gp_m1 for a card reader I'm considering getting. Granted I don't think a customer will charge a $3,000 gate, but when going to craft shows, someone might be willing to put $100-$200 on a card versus paying cash? Any thoughts or words of wisdom on the topic?

Smart Phone card readers work great. No charge for the reader just for each transaction.

I use a Card Reader on my DroidX. Works great. The reader was free but they charge 2.75% of the transaction. SQUARE is the name. I see Intuit has one now. Unsure of the rates on that one

Im on the prowl for a good used Hypertherm Plasma with hand torch.
PM me with details

We use Intuit on a Droid and average 40 tranactions per weekend day.The charges are about the same as the square and you have a online access to all tranactions. What I like is we only use it the months of May thru Sept. and don't get charged a monthly fee when we don't use it.
