bumper

Post by kbenz »

Got a request to build a bumper. He found one on blackwidowgear.com. I've never built one and he wants to know about how much. How do y'all go about pricing these?

thanks

I have never built one either. I think you will need to use your best guess as to materials cost and your labor time and quote accordingly. Of course if it requires powder coating and/or other special processing, that would be an additional cost.

Man i checked out the website you mentioned and they sell the complete bumber for $500 Canadian...thats like $120 US isn't it? :HaHa :HaHa

Just kidding, anyway if he is asking you for a price he wants it cheaper I am sure and for $500 or less I would run forest RUN!

Google and shop other custom bumpers. Anything of quality is well over $1k. I've built a few bumpers for my own trucks and it takes a lot of time, fitting, etc. I wouldn't build one for someone else for liability reasons.
