After the Muriatic acid

Post by Jacky Elliott »

So I tried the Muriatic acid and love how easy it makes the dross and mill scale melt away. After I pulled it from the acid bath, I rinsed it with water and gave it a little scrub under the running water. Blow dried it immediately. After it was dry I put a flap disc to it and wow. SHINY. BUT how do you guys deal with the sides and insides of cuts? The pieces I tried this on, I plan on letting rust any way but what can I do to stop it from rusting along the cuts?

Almost impossible. Try putting it in a baking soda water mixture until your ready to finish it..
