after dross removal.....

Post by Brew Worx »

So, after dross removal of a flavor of methods mention in other threads, I typically use the flapper wheel to do a clean up on dross side with a 60 grit. Typically i flip over to presentation side with 120grit for polishing. Allot of our stuff is acid etched.

I should mention i try to cut only CRS as the presentation face is always good for the surface etching fro Steel FX

This does make a sharp edge. Somewhat of a burr. Regardless, its sharp to the touch and I dont want customers to feel that its a problem. Or unfinished. Hobby lobby junk from china is nice a dull. Smooth rounded edge. So if I want to be as good or better i need a better process.

I have been using a wire wheel to dullen the edge.

Whats a few better ways to do this?
