Worn Finish

Post by cfmetalworks » Mon Nov 06, 2017 12:51 pm

Does any know how to do a finish like this? Have a customer wanting a finish like this on their table.
Would you just paint a red base coat and brush the black on?

Thanks!

I would do a black base coat, then red over the black and sand to get the effect of worn.

Look up a channel called "ZH Fabrications" on Youtube- he's done a few pieces with that finish. He sprays the red and then scrapes some of it off before it's fully dried, and follows it with a brown/black stain.
